Paris

I never thought I'd see Paris.

I was sent to Paris for a work event and naturally added a few days to the end to be a tourist and see everything I could.

When I had studied in Italy in undergrad, I tried to go to Paris multiple times and because of train delays, train strikes and other issues, never made it.  Somewhere in my head I never thought I'd see Paris.

Being in Paris was everything I imagined.  The architecture, the food, the art, the history.  I was almost frenetically running around the city trying to take in as much as possible.

It also was very symbolic to me.  In college, I dreamed of a life where I would be jetsetting for work and involving myself in a global community.  With this first trip, I found myself standing over the the Seine half laughing that somehow that dream came true.
